The Dead Christ with Angels 1575 Painting by Leandro Bassano Art Print (7 Sizes)
This strikingly moving The Dead Christ with Angels art print reproduces Leandro Bassano's luminous oil on canvas, created around 1580 during the late Italian Renaissance. Two winged angels support the body of Christ, one cradling his head while the other gently lifts the shroud beneath him, their tender expressions conveying grief and reverence. Bassano's vivid handling of flesh tones, the blood-streaked wounds, and the dark, earthy background draws the eye to the emotional heart of the Passion narrative. Originally held in the Holden Collection, this devotional scene remains a powerful and handsome choice for admirers of sacred art and Italian painting.
