GleeBeeCo's Story

Hello there!

My name is Steven Gliebe and I am the founder of GleeBeeCo.

I collected sports cards as a kid which ended up in the attic as an adult. I decided to sell my collection to clear up space and thought I'd keep three or four of my favorites. Off to eBay and the local Goodwill store they went. Problem is, I used the proceeds to buy other cards! I accidentally re-discovered my passion for collecting.

I am what you could call a serial entrepreneur, having started a number of businesses (mostly in the web design and development space) and being self-employed since my teenage years. Naturally, I decided to launch a trading card endeavor. Of course I could not make professional sports cards so the focus of GleeBeeCo was decided to be primarily dead people and history.

GleeBeeCo, LLC was formed in 2022 and has sold its trading cards on eBay and Etsy. In 2024 we relaunched our own website to sell directly. Sports cards with holographic parallels like these are my favorite, because they're beautiful. There hasn't been a lot of that rainbow light effect in the non-sports card space so holographic cards are GleeBeeCo's specialty.
